Manuel ‘Manny’ Miranda is a former real estate developer with a background in civil engineering, but his true passion has always been winemaking. He began making his own wine in 1970. Needless to say, he is arguably one of the most experienced winemakers in Connecticut. In the last 42 years, he has made hundreds of different wines and has mastered the art and craft passed down through his family. His knowledge and experience make Miranda Vineyard’s offerings so unique, result in award-winning wines praised by connoisseurs around the world and enjoyed by everyone who visits.
Maria Miranda is a former school principal in one of the toughest districts in the state. Over the course of her 37-year career, she specialized in turning poorly performing schools into success stories. Today she applies her operational knowledge, financial acumen and leadership skills to the business of running the winery. Maria is the point-person for Miranda Vineyard and is a member of several organizations including the Northwest Connecticut Chamber of Commerce, Litchfield County Women’s Network, Goshen Agricultural Council and the Connecticut Vineyard & Winery Association board of directors.

Dan Miranda is an advertising copywriter/creative director with over 14 years of experience creating award-winning and memorable communications. Along with his wife, Jessica, he manages Miranda Vineyard’s branding and marketing efforts. He also acts as an assistant winemaker to Manny throughout the production process.
Manager & Assistant Winemaker
Mark Miranda is an experienced draftsman and contractor. Throughout the growing season, he manages work on four vineyards spread out over 30 acres of property, including sustainable growing methods, vine health, harvest and various construction projects. He also assists Manny in the winery and ensures quality from vine to bottle.
Jessica Miranda is an advertising account director. Since 2000, she has specialized in the fashion, beauty and retail industries working on accounts including Donna Karan/DKNY, Estée Lauder and Sears. Along with her husband, Dan, she manages Miranda Vineyard’s branding and marketing. She also oversees special events both at the winery and off-site.
From the winery’s inception, Erika has been instrumental in setting up the 2,000 square foot Miranda Vineyard retail space and establishing workflow processes for the storefront. When she is not chasing after her twin boys, you can often find her lending a hand in the tasting room.
